Why this Blog? I have two friends who are freshly inspired to read the Bible (March 2007). I want to add to their fire and cause many around us to be affected in reading their own Bible also!!!

I was reading Ezekiel 37 about dry bones. I like the verse 4 that says,"...Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!". After that all the dry bones become a vast army.
In our experience when we feel like spiritually so dry just like the dry bones, we need to hear the word of the Lord. The Lord's word will give us a strength that we become a vast army for Him. So, hear the Lord by keep reading the bible.
I just started to read First Samuel. It is very inspiring. Few verses that caught my attention:
1) 1 Sam. 2:9 "He will keep the feet of His faithful ones....For not by strength shall any man prevail." This seems very appropriate to what we are going through.
2) 1 Sam. 3:7 "Now Samuel did not yet know Jehovah, and the word of Jehovah had not yet been revealed to him." Lord Jesus, I would like to have and know your intimate speaking.
Psalm 56:13
I am under vows to you, O God; I will present my thank offerings to you. For yo have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.
Recently, I enjoyed the verses in Matt. 13:45-46 which says, "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it." When the Lord Jesus as a merchan man looks his believers (his bride), he sees the belivers as beautiful pearls. It does not matter how the belivers feel about oneself. What matters is that our dear Lord found this one pearl of great price and sold all that he had. He paid the highest price which was his precious blood. We now as believers belong to the Lord. He has possesion on us. He bought us (redeemed us). Only the Lord Jesus have rightful ownership over us. We are not our own, we belong to Jesus. It is a natural thing for the belivers to serve him. After all, he is our master.
At our church meeting, we have decided to read through the Genesis a chapter a day with one day rest(6 chapters a week). In my reading of Genesis chapter 1, I noticed that in God's wonderful creation, each day ends with the evening and the morning. Considering each day of his creation corresponse to our spiritual growth, it seems that when we experience something wonderful in our walk with the Lord, then comes the evening of valley, discouragement, hopelessness, and even unbelief. However, when the evening passes, there comes the morning of faith, hope, and love renewed toward the Lord and the saints. This cycle continues until we enter into the ture rest of God's seventh day rest.
