At our church meeting, we have decided to read through Genesis a chapter a day with one day rest (6 chapters a week).
In my reading of Genesis chapter 1, I noticed that in God's wonderful creation, each day ends with the evening and the morning. Considering each day of his creation corresponds to our spiritual growth, it seems that when we experience something wonderful in our walk with the Lord, then comes the evening of valley, discouragement, hopelessness, and even unbelief. However, when the evening passes, there comes the morning of faith, hope, and love renewed toward the Lord and the saints. This cycle continues until we enter into the ture rest of God's seventh day rest.

What a profound way to get into the Bible with the church! I am very inspired!!!
Regarding evening and the morning, we don't like the evenings but it seems that a lot of good things happen during that time. After Abram experienced "selling" his wife to Pharaoh, he gave the better portion of the land to Lot and even was willing to rescue him, risking his life. How did he become a such a grand and a selfless person? Because of one evening.
I hate my evenings. But looking back, I appreciate them. I gave up on God many times but He came in the dead of the night to give me new mornings. I didn't know if living by faith really worked. I didn't know if God really answers impossible prayers. Now I have at least three impossible prayers in my heart. But somehow, I believe that God will answer them.
I am so happy about being a Christian. What a romantic and meaningful life! By nature, I am a simple and a pleasant person (I think :); in other words, I am a shallow person. But now I am becoming a more thoughtful person, all because of God. Thank you Jesus!!!!!
